Be Merry!

my favorite tray!

yesterday i thought it was time to decorate my room a little bit. i particularly like how the clove peppered orange turned out! now it smells and looks like christmas at home.

easy, cheap and sooo satisfying!
green and red.
st. nicholas present for my bf. i stopped using paper/plastic bags last year because it's such a waste of resources. besides, now i can be even more creative! i think last year i used socks and for easter this year i used flower pots.
st. nicholas gift for my little sis.
i lit the first candle last sunday.
my 'adventkranz' this year. simple, yet beautiful.
nature's gifts.

at the world trade center memorial.
i didn't snap any pictures of the memorial itself. i can only recommend going there! it's so far the most breathtaking memorial i've seen: two pools with the largest manmade waterfalls in north america. they were constructed on the exact places where the two world trade center towers once stood. i was moved to tears.
i would have liked to see a basketball match but basketball season's not in september. D:
it was a little bit boring but nice. haha.
the baseball game goes on for hours and hours. therefore: don't go there when the game starts. most of the people arrive around 9 pm.
go yankeeeeeeeeeeees!

yellow cabs are awesome!
would you like to have a fire escape staircase?

real coffee and a cupcake. made my day.
some of the things i bought in ny. fresh lipgloss for my dearest a. i should have bought one for me too... ^^ and a diptyque candle. this one: baies/berries. the scent will now always remind me of a warm autumn day in the big apple.
i like small cafés and bakeries.
our little babies! lol. when i ate mine i din't really like it... sugar frosting on top. all i'll say. but now that i see the picture... i want one so badly! it's the same with hungarian langos: you want to try it with cheese and ketchup. then you hate it. next time you see it: you'll buy it again. xD

solomon r. guggenheim museum.
this time i made it inside! but then the ramps were closed. ^^

i love ny. i love ny. i love ny. i don't care that the subway stations are filthy. i can overlook the fact that the food is less yummy. it's ok that it's scorching hot in summer. this is my city. ethnically diverse. vibrant. glamorous yet down-to-earth.
