Style up your Life?

i finally found some time to take glossybox pictures. that's just the first out of three glossybox posts. in between the glossybox posts i'll also show you my berlin pictures and some of my remaining nyc photos. life would be boring without travelling. anyway, every second or third glossybox has a theme now and while i don't reject the idea behind it, it's always weird to see the products that are supposed to match those topics...

apart from the marionnaud nail polish there's nothing inside this august glossybox that would 'style up my life'. i don't really get how a foot cream or a face sérum make a difference in a person's style...

here it says that luxury brands are supposed to redefine my personal style. to be honest i don't think that my appearance will change if i use a clarins facial sérum instead of an alverde facial lotion (just an example!).

in one of the later boxes i received a clarins lipgloss that i really like (great smell and it makes my lips very soft). still i'm not so sure if i want to see an ingredients list of all clarins products... for a minute i thought about buying a clarins body lotion (instead of an organic one) because it's cheaper and the product carries a well-known brand name. then i looked at the back of the bottle just to find out that it contains 'mineral oil'. would you go to a gas station and pour fuel on your body? i don't think so.

i haven't tried this lancaster mask yet... partly because there's no description on the backside. for how long are you supposed to leave the mask on the face? it's a facial mask, right?!

this alessandro product really does make my feet soft but the smell is horrible. i would have never bought this in 'real life'.

thanks to glossybox i now own an army of nail polishes... ^^ i haven't used the marionnaud nail polish so far but i've only read bad stuff about it. and then again: i don't need a white nail polish because i keep my nails too short for a french manicure. the guerlain body milk might be nice for someone else but i don't like the smell and i never use body lotions that contain a lot of perfume (i usually apply lotion only to my legs after i've shaved them. and then body lotions with perfume kinda hurt...).

a lot of criticism in this post... but i still like receiving these glossybox 'presents' every month. and i never throw products out. i either use them or i give them to someone who will (i gave the clinique mascara to my mom and she was really happy about it). :) that's it for glossybox today. if you like my posts, there are also non-shallow posts (like me travelling the world), you can either like my facebook page or you can follow me on instagram (you have to have an account because my instagram pics are private).
