i miss being in korea. yesterday mh, md and my boyfriend went to the korean restaurant kimchi in vienna's 3rd district. the food tasted authentic and the waitress was so nice and helpful. prices are moderate and you even receive two side dishes with your meal.
i ordered a vegetarian version of bibimbap, as usual. it's my favorite.
mh and md decided to go for the diy option. it reminded me of my first evening in seoul when m and i were picked up from the airport by jin and her parents. we went to this small korean restaurant where we grilled meat, dipped it into some sauce, wrapped it in salad and ate it. it was probably the nicest dinner i've had so far.
every time i'm in a korean restaurant i pretend not to know that there's fish sauce in almost all variants of gimchi. as it's korea's traditional salad, i just cannot stop eating gimchi even though i've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years.
last but not least, jin, if you are reading this:
