ever since i tried asparagus i've been a huge fan of that vegetable but i've never cooked it myself. that's why my boyfriend and i drove 35 km northwards where the best asparagus is supposed to grow.
in gerasdorf the family owned farm trimmel sells seasonable vegetables and fruits.
you cannot only buy asparagus and strawberries, but also locally produced wine, jam and honey.
i went for a bottle of rosé. so far i've never been disappointed by this type of wine. must be the nice color. haha.
when i see these strawberries i want to go to erdbeerland instantly. there i would eat 5 kilos of strawberries while picking.
i should have bought rhubarb... for over a month i've been thinking about baking a rhubarb cake for the first time in my life. then i get the chance to buy rhubarb and i don't. what is wrong with me? ^^
cooked asparagus. it tasted delicious and it was so easy to make! i'm quite impressed. the only drawback: it took us 1 1/2 hours to get the asparagus.
